NICC

NJIT's Information & Cybersecurity Club

During the 2022 Spring semester at NJIT, I gathered likeminded students to address a glaring lack in student organizations: There was no club dedicated specifically to the students who were looking to grow as professionals interested in Information Security & Cybersecurity.

With an initial cohort of 5 members, we began to lay out the foundations of our organization.  We met multiple times during the summer break to establish a framework that would help our organization succeed. Multiple members of the Student Senate and school administration had informed us that it would take anywhere from 4 months to one year to be recognized officially as a club.

By the third week of the semester,  the NJIT Information & Cybersecurity Club (NICC) was formed, officially recognized, and boasting around 50 members.  During the first and second semester I have served as the President of NICC - coordinating with my Executive Board to accomplish many of the goals we set out for ourselves.

Projects

NICC engages in projects both as a club and individually. These are just a few of the projects spearheaded during my leadership.

Competitions

In addition to creating our own CTFs, I also lead my own team to hone our skills in the industry. I'll be uploading more about that soon.
